i dont know why but i like Max more, though both maya and max are autodesk products.max is more widely used.

maya and 3ds max both are animation software and can make definately a nice animation. but the newest version of maya autodesk 9.0 is excellent you can make a dam good with it.

There is nothing much in the softwares, if you compare yourselves only with maya and max. There are lots more, Softimage, bryce, eon vue,z brush cinelerra, many more.The only difference between these software is you, who use that software, so change the approach of learning. learn the process not the software. technology changes in a jiff
