alright people, i use mozilla firefox, the safe mode, because i heard it lowers CPU usage, but i am running windows vista home premium, 2 GB ram, 160 GB HD, all on a laptop. when i first got it it was soooo fast and everything worked wonderfully. but now, even if i try to watch a youtube video, every couple of minutes, the computer will start skipping, then say that it's "not responding" then go back to playing. i don't know exactly what is wrong. also, i notice that not all of my ram is being used, only about under a half of it is in use, and my CPU usage is usually at 80-90 percent, it's when it reaches 100 percent that it starts to skip. HELP ME!!!!!it doesn't only skip when i watch youtube videos. i have had this "skipping" problem for quite about 2 weeks. i don't have many processes running, i have only 21. and it's not even utilizing most of the RAM, less than half. i don't get it, cos i have 2 gigs of RAM!?? i don't know what it could be, PLEASE HELP!

here's a solution: When you start the youtube video, pause it an wait for that little red line to reach to the end, then play the video!:)

it sounds like another process may be running. like anti virus updating, or outlook checking for messages. see whats running in task manager (or whatever vista calls it).
